On Wednesday 26th April we had 16 young people from New Lodge Arts go on a visit to the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland – Museum of Orange Heritage.
Cecilia Heron Good Relations Arts Worker for New Lodge Arts said “Belfast City Council invited us to visit the museum. We spoke to our young people who were keen to go on the outing. We learned a lot about William of Orange and the Battle of the Somme. Our young people were surprised to learn that the Battle lasted for 6 hours as some thought that it took place over several days. Our staff and young people really enjoyed this trip and found it very informative”
