The Youth Theatre Group were delighted to stage their end of year show ‘Missing’ in The MAC on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st June 2017.
‘Missing’ was devised by the group and tells the story of a young girl from Belfast who goes missing. The story focused on her family, friends and neighbours in a bid to shed light on the mystery surrounding her disappearance. The young people created their own characters including PSNI, reporters, religious neighbours, abusive parents and school bullies and wrote all their own scripts.
We are very proud of what the young people have achieved and have witnessed their acting skills greatly increase.
We would like to thank the Drama Tutor, Sean Mullan who has worked with the young people over the last year. We would also like to thank Cecilia Heron, Good Relations Art Worker from New Lodge Arts for providing youth support at the weekly class.
Classes run on Wednesday evenings in Girdwood Community Hub and return again in September.
