Activities will include circus performers, lantern making, music, arts & crafts, story telling etc

6pm – 8pm

Outdoor Cinema ‘The Greatest Showman’

Wrap up warm, you might even want to bring a hot water bottle!

Wednesday 30th October 2019 – Alexandra Park

12pm – 3pm

Activities will include circus performers, lantern making, music, visual arts, science experiments etc

5pm – Lantern Parade

Parade participants gather at Girdwood Community Hub from 5pm

Pre-parade activities include Lantern making, face-painting, music & circus performances.

Parade departs at 6.15pm

Parade participants FREE Red wristband.

6.30pm – 9pm – Main event in Alexandra Park

A fantastic evening of circus, comedy, music, dance, fireworks and a headline performance by ‘Little Mix Magic’ one of the finest Little Mix Tribute Acts!

Gates open 6.30pm

Entrance via Mileriver Street (side of Currie Primary).

No dogs allowed.

Anyone just attending the park must purchase a Gold wristband from the Ashton Centre, 5 Churchill Street. Wristbands are £2 each and will go on sale on Monday 30th September 2019. UNder 2’s will get a Free Red wristband.

The North Belfast Lantern Festival is part of the North Belfast Community Pride Programme and primarily funded by The Executive Office and administered by Community Relations Council. The Programme is led by Ashton and delivered by New Lodge Arts. The programme is also supported by Belfast City Council, Department for Foreign Affairs and Duncairn Community Partnership.
