The Greater New Lodge Community Festival Programme 2017 contains a host of activities ranging from street parties, family fun days, theatre, literature and art shows to music gigs and concerts, exhibitions, 
lectures, debates, sports events, film shows and more. It is our hope and intention that the programme contains something of interest for people of all backgrounds, ages, tastes and perspectives.
The Festival represents an occasion where we as a community come together every year to celebrate our culture, traditions and talent and enjoy the craic in doing so. In the process we hope to generate a welcoming atmosphere where there can be freedom for expression, space for reflection and a sharing of knowledge and experiences.
This year we once again are very proud to include for publication in our programme some highlight events from the fantastic ‘Scoil Samhraidh Mhic Reachtain’ organised by the McCracken Cultural Society. We also take this opportunity to thank Feile An Phobail for their continuing support and cooperation.
On behalf of the Festival Organising Committee I would like to congratulate everyone involved in making this programme possible, especially local community groups, workers and volunteers.
We would also like to thank all of those that have directly provided funding and venues towards the staging of events in our 2017 Programme.
